Mikel Arteta allegedly has time to turn things around

Things are far from well at the Emirates Stadium currently, with Arsenal simply unable to get anything right on the pitch at the moment.

There would not be too many complaints in regards to the recruitment drive that the club has undertaken as a number of areas that have required strengthening have been attempted and with some quality individuals, however it seems those that play just are not up to scratch – whether that be because they are not good enough, do not understand what Arteta wants from them or are just simply off the pace remains to be seen, though.

The recent outing against Manchester City was just the latest embarrassment that Gunners all over the world have had to sit through and watch, with legendary figures such as Ian Wright crying because of what he is witnessing from the club he dearly loves. Those who have been using the best sportsbooks to bet on Arsenal on sportskokladenje24 will have been crying as well with what they have seen.

Whilst many will simply be calling for Arteta to leave the club after spending 20 months in charge and seemingly being out of depth, it has been claimed that he could potentially have some more time to prove that he is the right man for the job and turn things around.

According to a report by Goal, it has been suggested that the club’s hierarchy are not interested in making another change in manager after having seen Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery and Freddie Ljungberg all depart since Arteta’s arrival as boss.

The Spaniard’s appointment was always going to be a work in progress as he had never been a manager before his arrival and things appeared to be on the up when he first arrived at the Emirates Stadium.

Last season did not go too well, but he has been provided with a huge transfer war chest that has seen him spend amongst the most in the Premier League this summer on transfer fees. This should perhaps point to the fact as to why the board do not want to make a change.

In fairness, a lot of what has happened is not the Spaniard’s fault either, as players have been made unavailable for a number of different reasons including illness, whilst there are individuals on the pitch that have played and have not shown any fight.

However, simply put, things are unable to keep going on the way that they are with Arteta in charge and if they have not improved in the next four matches ahead of the next international break, then perhaps the board are going to need to pull the plug on this project and look elsewhere.
